The success of peaceful and all inclusive Afghan elections continues to resonate across the country.
Since the election day, Afghans have been pouring praise on their security forces for providing a safe environment, and the nation has been celebrating the landmark success in anticipation of the first peaceful political transition in country’s history.
Over seven million registered voters, including men, women and youth, cast their votes, rejecting threats from insurgents. According to national and international political analysts, it was the most vivid expression the Afghan will – that as a nation, Afghans want peace and abhor violence at any cost.
Recently, some Afghan civil rights activists in capital Kabul organised a gathering in appreciation of Afghanistan’s security forces for successfully maintaining the security during the elections and enabling fellow citizens to fulfil their national obligation without any concern for safety.
