In Several Clearance Operations, 37 Armed Taliban Killed

anpIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.

The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Kandahar, Takhar, Kunar, Paktiya and Kapisa provinces, as a result 37 armed Taliban members were killed, 19 wounded and three others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.
Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition.
In the meantime, five armed Taliban (IED planters) were killed by their own explosives while they were placing IEDs in the main road of Shah Wali Kot district of southern Kandahar province, yesterday afternoon.
