President Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on Tuesday said his administration would prove its worth at the upcoming London Conference.
At a meeting with UK’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Simon Gass, the president referred to the preparations made for the international moot.
Bilateral relations, economic cooperation and other issues of common interest also figured during the meeting at the Presidential Palace in Kabul.
Ahmadzai confirmed his government’s preparations for participation in the upcoming conference. He said he would be going to the international forum with substantial achievements on the home front.
He billed the conference as important in strengthening the international community’s confidence in the new unity government, something that would spur assistance and support from friendly countries.
During his trip to London, the president will convince British entrepreneurs to invest in Afghanistan and promote Afghan exports to UK’s markets.
The conference, scheduled for November 24-25, will be co-hosted by the governments of the UK and Afghanistan.
