32 Armed Insurgents Killed in Fresh Afghan National Security Forces Joint Clearance Operations

anp-silhuetteIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clear some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.

The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Paktika and Herat provinces, as a result 32 armed insurgents were killed, five wounded and 14 others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition.

During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused nine different types of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Paktiya and Helmand provinces.

Afghan National Police are working diligently with local leaders and the public to prevent these types of acts from killing and wounding innocent civilians and security forces.
