8 April 2016: Eklil Hakimi, the Minister of Finance met with H.E. Ambassador Richard G. Oslan, U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Presidential Palace.
Parties to the meeting discussed a wide range of issues: national revenue, budget execution, tax exemption, anti-corruption and upcoming WARSAW and Brussels conferences.
Afghanistan National Development Strategy (ANDS II) and Public Finance Management (PFM) also were discussed between the parties.
Ambassador Richard appreciated the Afghan Government's achievements, specially revenue collection and financial reforms by the Ministry of Finance, and wished success for the government at the Warsaw and Brussels conferences.
Ambassador P. Michael Mckinly, Mr. Peter Lavoy, Senior Director National Security Council,
Ms. Laurel E. Miller, Deputy U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Mr. Donald Larry Sampler, Assistant to the Administrator at the Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs; and Major General Gordon B. Davis, Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan were also participated at the meeting.
