President Ashraf Ghani met on Sunday with the United States Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph Dunford, in Kabul to discuss the further reinforcement by the US of Afghan security forces.
Their agenda included the fight against terrorism and other regional issues, President's Office said in a statement.
Gen. Dunford praised the efforts of the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF), particularly the Special Forces, for their achievements, the statement said.
According to the statement, Dunford said troops in the Afghan Special Forces are of the finest in the region.
He reconfirmed US support to funding and training the security forces.
President Ghani thanked the US and international community for their financial support and training of the ANDSF, adding that "we need further reinforcement and equipment of Afghan troops."
Ghani repeated his view that there were "no good and bad terrorists. Terrorists are the enemies of humanity. We call on all countries to fight the menace."
