Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met the other day with UN deputy secretary on humanitarian affairs. In the meeting, the UN deputy secretary briefed chief executive related to his activities in Kabul, saying that he paid visit to a number of displaced families’ camps.
He said that Afghan displaced families and those returning to their homeland needed humanitarian assistance and asked that efforts should be accelerated in this regard.
He asserted that they would continue their humanitarian activities as before and would try to absorb further assistance to domestic displaced families and those returning home from Pakistan.
The country’s chief executive appreciated the UN deputy secretary for the organization’s humanitarian assistance provided to Afghanistan through various channels.
