President Ghani Chairs NSC Meeting

The National Security Council (NSC) meeting, with President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair, discussed some key issues on agendas including security in some turbulent provinces, Bakther News Agency said the other day.


 According to the agency, security of some provinces including Helmand, Urozgan, Nangarhar, Baghlan, Kunduz, and Kunar provinces has been discussed in the meeting, with the defense and security organs calling the devotion and sacrifices of the security forces in recent anti-terrorists operation a great achievement and laudable.
 The related ministers assured of resorting security in the said provinces, according to the statement.
 The meeting, then approved the plan of the related organ for extension of tax-paying time of the armored vehicles with no custom tariffs, and calling doubling efforts of the security and defense organs for repelling the security threats a need and instructed the related organs for providing appropriate strategic and coordinated plans with other stakeholder entities in the field of ensuring security and drawing the attention of people.
