Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with US congress delegation headed by Senator Jack Reed at the Presidential Palace, his office said in a statement Tuesday.
According to the statement, in the meeting, both sides exchanged views on different issues such as fighting terrorism and regional situation.
President Ghani also appreciated the US continued cooperation with Afghanistan in military and civilian sections, the statement further said.
Likewise, two sides discussed terrorism dangers and regional insecurities and stressed on extensive cooperation of the regional and world countries with Afghanistan against the phenomenon, the statement added.
At the end, President Ghani and the US congress delegation stressed on further enhanced relations between the two countries, the statement concluded.
