A workshop on youths’ access to financial resources was jointly organized by the deputy ministry of youth affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture and the Microfinance union of Afghanistan here the other day, BNA reported.
According to the agency, acting minister of information and culture and deputy minister on youth affairs Dr. Kamal Sadat applauding the inauguration of the workshop said that the deputy ministry on youth affairs trying its best to help youth in different fields, adding microfinance opportunities to be provided for them so that to ease business opportunities. Meanwhile Dr. Sadat asked the youth to join hand and start small business so that to put end point to the ongoing corruption in the country. Meanwhile the CEO of the Microfinance Union of Afghanistan Najibullah Samim called the workshop crucial for those who wants to start business, adding their union is a bridge between youth and those organizations who provide loans to them. He also added that such programs would help prevent brain drain from the country. It is worth to mention that the Microfinance Union of Afghanistan has eased small loans to around 47000 youths in 10 provinces of the country. The workshop was attended by a number officials, lawmakers and youths and introduced a number of youth to microfinance institutions.
