The Helmand provincial governor Hayatullah Hayat said at a press conference that the Helmand local administration is determined to prevent corruption in this province, this is when he introduced the head of Hajj affairs to the prosecution.
Hayat said that the head of Hajj department introduced to the prosecution because of unnecessary use of authority and job negligence. “Based on the ministry of Hajj and religious affairs proposal, 70 positions had been provided for religious clerics in Helmand and they would have worked beside other government employees but the head of Hajj affairs had postponed them” he said.
The residents of Helmand appreciated the deployment of the religious clerics in Helmand and said it is a good step.
Haji Abdul Hamid a resident of Musa Qalah said the religious clerics are great, they are guiding the people, they show the people the right way, they pass the messages of Prophet Mohammad to the people so they should be recruited and included in this process.
If the government recruit more Mullahs, they can also easily pass their messages to the farthest people across the province Abdul Hamid said.
“The religious clerics in Helmand have always been active beside the government, ANSF and residents so they should work officially beside other employees” governor said.
