Urban Development Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulhai on Thursday said his ministry planned to construct a 14-storey building for its headquarters.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News the building was estimated to cost $10 million and would be constructed near the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs in the 3rd Macro Ryan area of Kabul.
He said the building on 1,000 square meters area would have all necessary facilities like conference hall, administrative rooms, training centres, kindergarten, cafeteria, mosque, library and a sports gymnasium.
The minister also said they had worked out 70 master plans for big cities and districts across the country.
A plan to construct around 180 houses for 2.5 million people had been finalised, said Abdulhai, adding engineers had been advised to keep in mind the needs of people with disabilities.
