64 rebels, 11 ANA soldiers killed in clashes, blasts

203-thunder-corpsThe Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Saturday said that 64 rebels and 11 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed in different security incidents in the past two days.

A statement from the MoD said that the incidents took place in Nuristan, Kabul, Ghor, Helmand and Kunduz provinces.It said 64 rebels were killed and a number of them wounded and seven others detained during a series of operations launched by Afghan security forces.A large number of equipments, weapons, 178 bombs and 100 kilograms of drug have also been seized during the offensives, the statement added.Eleven ANA soldiers also lost their lives during separate roadside bombings during the operation.
