A water supply project was inaugurated today by H.E. Nasir Ahmad Durrani, the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development and Minister of Immigration and Repatriation in Alsagan City, Barik Ab, Qarabagh district of Kabul province.
This project has been completed through the National Area Based Development Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development at a sum of more than USD 621000, by the financial support of Australia. Approximately, 1025 families are benefitted the facilities of this development project. "So far, the National Area Based Development Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has been able to implement 185 utility and multi-sector projects in Kabul province, worth of nearly USD 12 million." said Minister Nasir Ahmad Durrani, the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development at the inaugural ceremony of the project. Also, Minister Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi, the Minister of Immigration and Repatriation of the Islamic Republic of Afganistan said that there is no extra budget approved for his Ministry to construct cities.
He stated that the Ministry of Immigration and Repatriation only plays the role of coordinator towards attracting funds to change the living standards of repatriators and displaced.
