Newly-appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirate to Kabul Pays Courtesy Call to Minister of Foreign Affairs

Emrate-new-embassadorThe newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirate (UAE) Mr. Juma Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi paid courtesy call to Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Salahuddin Rabbani in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon.


At the outset, Mr. Rabbani welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of UAE and congratulated his new position and wished him further success.
In the meeting Mr. Rabbani spoke about deep historical and political relations between the two countries as well as expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of UAE over the last one and half decade, investment in some areas and employment opportunities for Afghan youths. 
Ambassador Mohammed Al Kaabi conveyed best wishes of UEA Foreign Minister to Mr. Rabbani and underlined that during his mission he will endeavor to strengthen mutual ties between the two countries.
Ambassador Al Kaabi also said that UAE has willingness to invest in Afghanistan and has very good programs for cooperation with Afghanistan, including expansion of the project to provide potable water in Nimroz, Kabul, Helmand and Nangarhar Provinces; assistance to poor families in the holy month of Ramadan (Fast) as well as training preachers of mosques in coordination with the Ministry of Hajj and Mosque of Afghanistan.
Ambassador Al Kaabi said that his country is set to undertake a program providing fully funded internal scholarships to Afghan students, through which they can study in private university in Afghanistan.
