Foreign Minister Holds Introductory Meeting with Newly-appointed Australian Ambassador to Kabul

Kabul- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan held introductory meeting with newly-appointed Australian ambassador to Kabul Mr. Richard George Feakes this morning.


While expressing happiness over his new mission, Mr. George Feakes promised that he will spare no efforts in strengthening and deepening friendly relations and bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Australia. He added that relations between Australia and Afghanistan are deeply friendly and Australian cooperation with Afghanistan covers many areas and it will continue in future too.
Subsequently, Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Mr. Richard George Feakes to Afghanistan and congratulated his new assignment, and thanked Australian valuable cooperation with Afghanistan in various spheres.
During the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs further discussed preparations regarding Brussels Conference on Afghanistan and asked for the participation of higher ranking delegation of Australia in this conference.
