At least 28 Daesh insurgents were killed in foreign troops drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday, local officials said.
Mohammad Nabi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the clash broke out in Dehzak area at about 8am. He said as of 5pm in the afternoon 18 militants, including a group leader named Zandani, was among 18 killed during the firefight. Several others militants were wounded, he added. Nabi said three Afghan National Army soldiers were also wounded. He said the Dehzak area would be soon cleared of militants.
