Afghan National Security Forces Cleared Khak Safid District of Farah Province from Armed Taliban


Afghan National Police and Afghan National Army launched a joint clearance operation 10 days ago to clear Khak Safid District from the armed Taliban.  As a result of this joint operation, 51 armed Taliban were killed and 63 other armed Taliban were wounded.

cru1 Also, 13 armed Taliban vehicles and some amount of light and heavy rounds of ammunition were destroyed.  The operation still continues against terrorist militants in insecure villages of Khak Safid District.  The Ministry of Interior Affairs appreciates the Afghan National Security Forces independence operation to eliminate the terrorists’ sanctuaries and is a good step toward improving the security and stability in Farah province.
