SCAmidwife has started a two years community midwifery education program in eastern Laghman province. 25 females have enrolled in the midwifery education which is funded by the Swedish International Corporation Agency (SIDA) through SCA.

In a graduation ceremony at nursing school in eastern Laghman province, 23 female students received degrees for successfully completing the two years community health nursing education. The education was funded by the Swedish International Corporation Agency (SIDA) and it was a joint venture of SCA and Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC).

Thirst-for-learning-1The awareness about the importance of education has increased the enthusiasm for learning across the nation. Recently, more than fifteen hundred graduates of 12th grade from Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Nuristan provinces attended the entrance exam for the Institute of Health Science (IHS) in Jalalabad.

awareness-on-educationChildren with disabilities performed Afghan National Anthem in sign language during inauguration of two day workshop on inclusive education in Mazar. Swedish Committee for Afghanistan supported these children in inclusive education and has enrolled them to mainstream schools.
