About one week ago, a new police Chief and 505th Police Boost Zone commanders appointed in Helmand province.
Provincial council, civil societies and civilians are in support of the new security officials.
One civil activist, Abdul Haq Zakman, shared that he hopes the new security officials develop the security areas, and fight corruption.
Nazar Mohammad Rodi, the Deputy Director of Civil Society Coordination Center, stated that he wants the security officials to reduce the distance between civilians and government, and maintain sustainable coordination with them.
Helmand Police Chief Gen. Abdul Ghafar Safi assured that he would fight harder against corruption and injustice, asking from civilians and provincial council to cooperate with this.
He added that all activities will take place in consultation with the civilians, and he will work jointly with the Provincial council, civil societies and local people.
