National Army Commandos in Western Afghanistan say that commando operations with the support of the NATO forces had a positive impact on the improvement of the security situation in Farah province and they provided better living conditions for the residents of this province.
The ANA commandos’ spokesman in Western Afghanistan said that during the current year, commando forces with NATO air forces support launched several operations in Balabulak, Khake Safed and Bakva districts of Farah province, which led to worthy gains.
Commando forces in Balabulak district of Farah province carried out a military operation, which resulted in the arrest of seven Taliban.
A spokesman for the commando says after the announcement of the new US strategy, NATO's cooperation with the commando has increased and it has been more effective.
On the other hand, a number of Farah residents appreciate the performance of the ANA commando troops in Farah and say that the residents of this province believe in the operations of the commando forces.
Also Farah governor's spokesman said that during the current year, dozens of armed Taliban were killed and wounded during operations in the Army Commando Division with the assistance of international forces in this province.
He added that commando forces are topped up by training and equipment, which would make the operations shine well.
