President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has approved the recommendations for the establishment of Police District#14 in Kabul city.

The Office of the President, ARG Palace, said President Ghani met with the members of the Shia Ulemas Council on Saturday where the recommendation for the formation of Police Distrit#14 was approved.

According to ARG Palace, the members of Shia Ulema council shared their recommendations regarding the formation of new Police Districts, security measures including intelligence and increase in security personnel, review of the security situation of the areas facing threats, and security of the educational, religious, ID and voter cards distribution centers.

They also emphasized on brotherhood among different sects in the society as national unity, urging the government to ensure security during the elections as well as execution of the Shia Personal Law.

In his turn, President Ghani thanked the members of the Shia Ulema Council and said the security institutions will have consultations with the Ulemas, emphasizing that the security of the citizens of the country is a top priority for the government.

He also instructed the Kabul Municipality and Capital Development Authority to present a proper map for the West of Kabul city within a week.

President Ghani also urged the Ulemas to mobilize against the terrorist groups particularly against the ISIS terrorist group.
