Saudi Arabia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) host the "International Conference of Ulema on Peace and Stability in the Republic of Afghanistan", in Jeddah and Makkah on July 10th and 11th.
The conference in its final session will pass a “Mecca Declaration”, in which the Taliban will be asked to reconcile and end the decades old conflict in Afghanistan.
Many international and regional gatherings have held about Afghan peace, today and tomorrow Wednesday another gathering held in Saudi Arabia about Afghanistan peace.
Mohammad Omer Sati Kandahar Peace Council Secretary say that this conference of Ulema of Islamic world will have a good impact on the peace process.
Religious scholar Molawe Dadullah also said any peace efforts regarding the profit and should be benefited from every opportunity.
Residents of Kandahar and civil activists are also optimistic to Saudi Arabia international conference and said that many insurgents may stop fighting.
Around 120 religious Ulema from over 36 Islamic counties are participating in the conference.
